REVEALED: What Trump's Gaza takeover will look like

President Donald Trump’s controversially announced plans for the US to ‘take over and own’ Gaza last night.

After the announcement sparked backlash for potentially worsening the situation in the area, social media users took to AI to reimagine the city as a modernized urban center, complete with a prominent building resembling a ‘Trump Tower’ illuminated at the heart of the city.

What were once streets strewn with debris were digitally redesigned into smooth, busy thoroughfares flanked by imposing skyscrapers. The spaces where structures had collapsed were replaced with depictions of lush green golf courses surrounded by luxury resorts.

While some viewers found humor in these AI-generated renditions, others denounced them as tone-deaf and insensitive. Criticisms were also leveled warning against the erasure of significant historical sites, cautioning that such actions could lead to irreparable cultural losses.

Trump, who spent his career as a property developer, has long talked up Gaza’s coastal location and pleasant climate as a perfect holiday vacation.

In his vision, US reconstruction would create thousands of jobs and spare Palestinians the pain and expense of rebuilding once again.

That would also mean relocating 1.8 million Palestinians to other regions.

However, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for the United Nations to ‘protect the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights,’ saying that what Trump wanted to do would be ‘a serious violation of international law.’

X users shared dozens of AI-generated images online, showing what Trump's 'takeover' of the Gaza strip would look like. One user prompted the AI to include a Trump Tower with a Cybertruck parked out front

The Gaza Strip is a small territory located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

While fighting has been happening in the region for decades, another was sparked following the Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

And Gaza has been leveled by Israeli bombs in response to when the terrorist group killed an estimated 1,200 people and took more than 250 hostages, sparking relentless bombing from the Israeli nation.

While the total destruction of Gaza will not be fully known until the war comes to an end, the United Nations (UN) estimated in January that 69 percent of structures have been damaged or destroyed, including over 245,000 homes.

Parts of the city are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the place where King Samson ruled around 970 to 931 BC.

A user posted on X about Trump’s plan, saying: ‘Love President Trump about 99% [of the time]. That leaves 1% and that is the Riviera/Vegas style Gaza can’t and won’t fly in a Biblical region.’

The UN calculated that there are more than 50 million tons of rubble in Gaza, which equates to 12 times the size of the Great Pyramid of Giza.

For the scenes in the AI images to become a reality, Trump would need to clear the debris that would likely take over 15 years to complete, ABC News reported.

The debris removal and rebuilding would also require billions of dollars.

Many Americans criticized Trump's plan, calling it 'insensitive' and warned how 'it would be the biggest blackpill ever if a great Biblical city was paved over.'

While the president did not specifically say he would construct a large Trump Tower in Gaza, the internet believes otherwise.

Numerous Grok-generated images featured a tall tower lined with windows, which featured ‘Trump’ in large letters placed somewhere on the structure.

Another image featured his tower in the center of the city with a lavish green golf course behind it.

The surrounding city, which is currently a heap of rubble, is rebuilt with apartment complexes throughout.

Trump said Wednesday that ‘Everybody loves it,’ referring to his Gaza idea.

However, international powers including Russia, China and Germany said it would bring ‘new suffering and new hatred’. Regional heavyweight Saudi Arabia rejected the proposal outright.

Michael Milshtein, a former intelligence officer and one of Israel’s leading specialists on Hamas, said Trump’s comments put Israel on a collision course with its Arab neighbors.

‘Maybe Trump is trying to promote pressure on the Arab states (so) they will not create any obstacles if he tries to promote a normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel.’

Trump offered no specifics when he announced his proposal while welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House on Tuesday.

The president said he and his team had been discussing the possibility with Jordan, Egypt and other regional countries.

Netanyahu, who met on Wednesday with U.S. Vice President JD Vance, would not be drawn into discussing the proposal, other than to praise Trump for trying a new approach.
