Renee Nicole Good, a mother of three, tragically lost her life when a federal agent shot her after she allegedly veered her car toward him. Known for her activism in immigration issues, Good was a Minneapolis-based member of “ICE Watch,” federal insiders revealed to Fox News.

On Wednesday, Good was fatally shot after purportedly directing her vehicle at agents, an incident the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) described as a measure of “self-defense.”

Federal sources informed Fox News that this group is dedicated to monitoring, tracking, and challenging federal immigration enforcement activities. They have established a presence in numerous sanctuary cities nationwide.

Though the group typically identifies as “legal observers,” sources suggest that members frequently attempt to disrupt federal operations.

According to DHS, Good followed federal ice agents to two other locations prior to the shooting and was blocking the roadway to interfere with ongoing enforcement in the area.

Federal authorities are looking into these groups to determine their sources of training and funding.

Video circulating online shows an ICE officer approaching Good’s stopped SUV and attempting to open the driver’s side door before the vehicle drives forward. A second agent standing in front of the vehicle then fires multiple shots at close range.

ICE Watch-style networks have been linked to multiple confrontations with federal agents throughout the country, including incidents involving individuals using vehicles to block or strike officers.
