LOS ANGELES — As the curtain falls on the Academy Awards, the stars of the evening make their way from the Dolby Theatre to indulge in the glamour of the Governors Ball, the official post-Oscars festivity hosted by the Academy.

This year marks the 32nd occasion that renowned chef Wolfgang Puck has orchestrated the culinary delights for Hollywood’s premier event, and he is joined in the kitchen by his son, Byron Puck.

Together, the duo is set to cater to 1,600 eager attendees at the Governors Ball this Sunday, ensuring guests are well-fed and refreshed.

“You know, most of the people did not eat all day long. So when they come out, everybody is famished, you know?” Puck shared, highlighting the appetite of the guests after a long day.

The legendary chef notes that celebrities have a particular fondness for his Japanese Wagyu steak, and many make a beeline for the comforting dishes he prepares.

“They say, ‘Wolfgang, where is the mac and cheese? Where is the chicken pot pie?’ And people really love it. When I made that for the first time, Barbra Streisand ate three of them!” Puck told 6abc’s Alicia Vitarelli.

There are 84 items on the menu.

“My son, Byron, is making a pasta here, the agnolotti with artichoke and truffles,” said Puck.

After the feast, the chefs hope the stars save room for dessert!

“The apple strudel, I’d say, is an absolute must over there on the dessert section,” said Byron Puck.

And of course, each Hollywood A-lister at the Governors Ball gets a dark chocolate mini Oscar statuette.
