PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Authorities shared more details Wednesday about a shooting that damaged the Lake Oswego home belonging to the CEO of an Oregon workers’ compensation insurance organization last week.

Security footage near Chip Terhune’s home on Melrose Place caught a glimpse of the person police believe may be the suspect. The photo shows a suspect “wearing all dark clothes with a possible hoodie or ski mask, and carrying a light-colored object in his hand.”

Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the Westlake neighborhood on Feb. 21 and found the home’s front door had been damaged along with minor damage to the home itself.

An investigation led Lake Oswego police to believe the suspect “fired several rounds into the home from close range and left the area on foot” but may have had a car parked nearby.

A spokesperson for SAIF, Oregon’s nonprofit workers’ compensation insurance company, told affilaite KOIN 6 News they “are aware of the incident” at Terhune‘s home.

“We don’t have further details at this time but are working closely with law enforcement,” they said.

Anyone with information about this suspect or shooting is encouraged to contact police.
