INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana State Police’s Capitol Police division is calling on the community for assistance in recovering two tortoises that have been reported stolen from the Indianapolis Zoo.
According to a recent news release, the theft occurred between 10 a.m. on October 11 and 10 a.m. on October 12. The stolen tortoises include an Egyptian tortoise and a Northern Spider tortoise, both of which are classified as critically endangered species.
