Urgent Recall: Children’s Play Tents Pulled from Shelves Due to Safety Concerns with Fiberglass Poles

WASHINGTON — Approximately 7,500 children’s play tents from Tiny Land have been recalled following reports of fiberglass fragments from the poles causing skin and eye irritation.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on June 4, focusing on the Tiny Land-branded tents. This action comes after the company received eight complaints regarding the fiberglass poles shedding fibers. Whether any children have suffered from these irritations remains uncertain.

The recalled tents feature cream-colored fabric, three windows, a closable fabric door, 34 poles, star-shaped lights, and a quilted play mat as flooring.

Standing approximately 57 inches tall, 52 inches wide, and 32 inches deep, the affected tents can be identified by a label inside that bears the Tiny Land logo and the SKU “TLTGTT003BG-XYF1506251.”

These tents were sold on Amazon.com and on Tiny Land’s website Tinylandus.com between November 2025 and March 2026. They cost between $54 and $70. 

Customers are urged to stop using the tents immediately and to disassemble them and store it where children cannot access the poles. Tiny Land is offering customers a free repair kit with replacement poles.

The fiberglass poles should only be handled with gloves and disposed of in accordance with state and local rules. 

Fiberglass is a material made up of resin and glass fibers, creating a reinforced plastic, according to VPC Fiberglass, a fiberglass manufacturer. 

While fiberglass is used in various ways, it can cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat and skin, according to the Illinois Department of Health. 

Fibers can be removed from the skin by washing irritated areas with soap and warm water. Clothes worn when exposed to fiberglass should be washed separately from other clothing, and the washing machine should be rinsed thoroughly afterward.
