In Chicago, the search for a missing Chicago Public Schools teacher, Linda Brown, intensifies as her family and friends gather to continue their efforts. On Friday morning, they resumed their search, hoping for a breakthrough.

Molly Seedhouse, who has been a colleague of Brown’s for a decade, expressed the group’s determination. “The police have utilized dogs, drones, and dive teams in their search efforts. However, we remain optimistic that having more people participating will increase the chances of discovering new information that could lead us to Linda,” Seedhouse shared.

Before embarking on the search along the lakefront, Brown’s brother-in-law led the group in a moment of prayer, drawing strength from one another and their shared hope for her safe return.

The investigation has revealed that Brown’s car was located near the intersection of 35th and Lake Park Avenue. New video footage shows her exiting the vehicle early Saturday morning, around 3 a.m., with no evidence of her return, adding to the urgency and mystery surrounding her disappearance.

Investigators found her car near 35th and Lake Park Avenue. Relatives said there’s new video shows her leaving her vehicle Saturday morning around 3 a.m., but not returning.

Friends said before she disappeared, Brown often came to the lakefront to clear her head and had recently been experiencing anxiety about returning to the classroom after a leave of absence.

“It could be a mental health challenge,” Seedhouse said. “It could be a physical health challenge. She’s had some other medical challenges that could be impacting her ability to be totally coherent.”

Brown disappeared last weekend. Her husband says when he woke up and she was gone. Chicago police said the woman was last seen on Saturday in the 4500-block of South King Drive, not far from where she lives.

Her brother-in-law said it’s possible she’s still on foot and it’s important for the public to continue to look for her.

Family and friends continue to circulate flyers with Brown’s photo online and throughout the Chicago area.
