A 16-year-old girl has vanished under mysterious circumstances from her residence in South Carolina, according to local law enforcement.

The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is actively seeking information to locate Mackenzie Dalton, who is 16 years old.

Authorities report that the teenager, who has blonde hair, was last observed in late November, as noted in a statement released on January 2.

The Sheriff’s Department has taken to social media, urging the public to assist in finding Mackenzie Dalton, who is considered endangered due to her young age and the duration of her disappearance.

Officials have expressed concern for Dalton’s safety, given her age and the extended period she has been missing.

Police said that they believe that she is in the company of a man she allegedly knows. Authorities have not provided that man’s name or described him physically.

The teen is 5’4″ and weighs 118 pounds. Police did not say what she may have been wearing the last time she was seen.
