Vanna White has opened up about her future on “Wheel of Fortune” as she nears a significant career landmark.

With her 45th anniversary on the horizon, the beloved TV host provided an update on her role in the iconic game show and discussed her thoughts on retirement.

Following the departure of Pat Sajak from the show last year, White revealed that she had contemplated stepping away as well.

According to People, when Sajak announced his retirement in 2023, White considered the possibility of leaving “Wheel of Fortune” alongside him.

Nevertheless, she expressed at the time that she wasn’t ‘ready’ to bid farewell, a sentiment she has recently echoed once more.

This comes after she revealed how many days she works for her ‘$10 million’ Wheel of Fortune salary.

The 68-year-old television star, who started on the show in her twenties in 1982, candidly said she is still content with working on the show.

‘At this point, I’m happy with my job, I’m continuing on Wheel, and we will take one year at a time and go from there,’ she told E! News in an interview published on Wednesday.

She previously signed a two-year contract extension at the time of Sajak’s exit and now, two years later, she said she would only leave if another perfect opportunity came along.

Now working with Ryan Seacrest, 50, after he took over in season 42 after Sajak concluded his final one, the 41st, as the longtime host, she said: ‘You never know what’s around the corner. You just don’t.

‘Something might come to me that I want to be involved in,’ she told the outlet. ‘I just take one day at a time.’

While reflecting on her tenure on the game show as the iconic blonde bombshell flipping the letters, she said that so far, there doesn’t seem to be anything else she ‘would rather do.’

‘I don’t think there’s anything else on TV I would rather do after being on Wheel for so long. Honestly, I think I wanna just play golf when I retire,’ she said.

Shortly after Sajak exited and Seacrest stepped in, she previously shared her thoughts on the future of the show.

One year after Pat Sajak retired from the long-running game show, she opened up about how she had been thinking about leaving too. However, she said at the time that she didn't feel 'ready' to leave and recently reiterated that same sentiment

She told People she was ‘still having a great time when I come to work.’

‘I’ve known Ryan for over 20 years, but I’ve never worked with him until last year,’ she said. ‘He has great energy, and he wants to do a great job.’

She recalled: ‘I mean, when he first started, he goes, “Look, I can never replace Pat Sajak. I’m just going to go in and do the best job I can.” And that’s what he’s done.’

Referring to Wheel of Fortune as her ‘home away from home,’ she added: ‘I feel comfortable here. And it’s to see people win every single day and make them happy. There’s not a better job.’

She later lauded Seacrest for his ‘flawless’ transition as the new host and said longtime fans ‘get to see the real him too.’

She explained that was ‘because he talks more and he’s himself, and he’s himself on American Idol as well, but he gets to talk a little more on Wheel of Fortune.’
