David and Victoria Beckham have recently opened up about cherished memories with their son Brooklyn, despite a recent rift that has surfaced between them. In a candid six-page statement released earlier this week, their 26-year-old son expressed his unwillingness to mend ties with his family, adding fuel to an ongoing family dispute.

As tensions run high, with reports suggesting that Victoria is particularly heartbroken by the situation, both she and David have taken a moment to reminisce about happier times with Brooklyn. Their reflections come amidst a backdrop of emotional upheaval.

In an evocative nod to the past, British photographer Platon shared a collection of nostalgic photographs from 2006. Among these images is a striking picture of David, then a star player for Real Madrid, proudly displaying a tattoo of Brooklyn’s name across his back. This image serves as a poignant reminder of their once-close bond.

Platon also offered a rare glimpse into the memorable day when he captured David in his element, playing for the renowned Spanish football club. These snapshots not only highlight a significant moment in David’s career but also underscore the deep familial connections that once flourished.

The photographer also shared an insight of the day he shot David, 50, who was playing for Real Madrid at the time.

He penned alongside the snaps: ‘Victoria arrived with Brooklyn, who was seven years old, Romeo, who was four and Cruz, who was just a baby. Brooklyn and Romeo charged into the studio wearing football kits, kicking balls, doing headers and other tricks.

‘While Victoria was busy with the children, I started work with David. At one point, Brooklyn ran on set with his football under his arm and hugged his dad’s right leg. Then, Romeo joined his older brother.

‘Then, Victoria also appeared with baby Cruz in her arms. The whole family turned away from us for a private heartfelt group hug. It was a poignant thing to see—this spontaneous moment of affection happening on a giant photography set in front of 60 people.

‘Celebrity comes with a heavy price and often it is family members who also pay.’

The Beckhams spotted the touching post and replied underneath, with David commenting: ‘Good memories’.

Former Spice Girl Victoria then said: ‘Brings back great memories!’ 

Platon concluded his post of David’s snap: ‘In this picture, although David stands alone, we see the love of his children tattooed onto his back. Family is everything. David Beckham, I salute you.’

In his scathing statement this week, Brooklyn accused his parents Victoria, 51, and David, 50, of trying to ruin his relationship with wife Nicola Peltz, 30, and said his mother danced ‘inappropriately’ on him during his 2022 nuptials to the billionaire heiress.

Beaming Cruz, who announced his first ever tour on Friday, was also spotted in the French capital with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel 

The 60-year-old branded the incident ‘really awkward’ and confirmed that Nicola fled the reception in tears.  

Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams, claimed that Marc Anthony was to blame, revealing the musician had called Victoria to the dance floor with her son and instructed him, ‘place your hands on your mother’s hips’. 

He explained: ‘There was no slut-dropping, there was no PVC cat suits, no Spice Girl action!

‘The word “inappropriate”, why I said it was as well, it was the timing, this is what happened.’

Tony continued: ‘What happened was, basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn onto stage. 

‘Brooklyn went on to the stage, and the next minute everyone’s expecting Nicola to go up and do the first dance, and then Marc asked for the most beautiful woman in the room to come to the stage – and then he says “Victoria, come to the stage”.’ 

He revealed that Brooklyn looked ‘devastated’ at the fact his first dance was with Victoria and not his wife, adding that Nicola left the room ‘crying her eyes out’. 

Speaking exclusively to the Daily Mail, the DJ said at one point Brooklyn’s hands were on his mother’s waist while her arms were placed around his neck.

‘The timing was inappropriate for me. It was meant to be a bride and groom’s moment,’ he told us.

Their wedding DJ Fat Tony finally recounted the exact detail of the dance during an appearance on This Morning

‘It was in the heat of the moment. 

‘Brooklyn left right after the dance. Nicola left the room and afterwards he went after her.

‘Nicola’s family left, they went after their daughter.

‘Marc Anthony is a latin singer. It was a love song.’

When asked if Brooklyn had his hands on Victoria’s hips, he said: ‘Well, yeah. It was slow dancing, it wasn’t like some samba number. Victoria had her arms around his neck.’

He went on: ‘Brooklyn is a friend of mine. The whole situation is just awful, the way it’s played out so publicly.

‘Families are families, I don’t know what started it. At one point someone might say something publicly.’

He continued: ‘Brooklyn is upset about a lot of things, sometimes the smallest of things can become bigger the biggest of things, because it highlights it.

‘I’m not speaking bad about either party in it, I’m just putting the narrative straight about the dance.
