GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Firefighters and troopers caught an unexpected firework display when a fire broke out in a firework tent Saturday, police say.
Troopers were called to a parking lot in Haring Township in the early morning hours of July 5, the Michigan State Police said in a Monday social media post. Haring Township is located just north of Cadillac in Wexford County.
A firework tent was on fire, they were told.
When they arrived, they saw fireworks “actively going off,” MSP said.

Video posted by MSP shows quite the display.
Several different types of fireworks are seen going off low to the ground and explosions can be heard. Smoke billows away from the scene, engulfing the tent. At times, the tent is barely visible in the footage.
Firefighters with the Haring Township Fire Department and Cadillac Fire Department were ultimately able to put the fire out, MSP said.

No one was hurt.
The incident is under investigation. Anyone with information or video footage should contact the MSP Cadillac Post at 231.779.6040.
