ROSELAWN, Ind. (WXIN) A semi-truck reportedly hauling petroleum burst into flames and closed all lanes of traffic on Interstate 65 in Jasper County, Indiana Monday.
The Indiana Department of Transportation said the incident occurred around 2 p.m. near Roselawn at mile marker 230.7.

Indiana State Police Lowell Post shared footage of the fire while warning drivers that lanes in both south and northbound directions were closed on I-65. All southbound lanes will remain closed for an indeterminate amount of time, police said.
“This cleanup is expected to last into the night due to the surface of the roadway being significantly damaged,” ISP said.
In the footage, large plumes of fire and smoke can be seen engulfing all lanes of the interstate.

Traffic was diverted at multiple exits due to the fire.
State police said the semi driver was not injured in the blaze.
As of Monday evening, police had not identified the cause of the fire.
