Wild mob smashes windows of NYPD vehicles after cops respond to apparent car meet-up: video

On early Sunday morning, hordes of hoodlums vandalized three police cars during a wild car meet-up in Queens. Police reported that the vandals smashed windows and jumped on at least one vehicle, causing chaos in the area.

The incident occurred when a large group gathered for the car meet-up, leading to the destructive behavior towards the police cars. Authorities are investigating the situation and looking for those responsible for the vandalism.

The bedlam happened along Rockaway Boulevard in a commercial area of Ozone Park as rowdy brutes engulfed the police cars responding to disorder around 1 a.m., police and law enforcement sources said.

Jaw-dropping video shows a handful of perps either leaning against or slapping an unmarked car before one vandal gets on the hood of the car and slams a traffic cone against the front windshield, cracking it.

Other rabble rousers then jumped on top of the car and threw another traffic cone at it before the vehicle – with its sirens blaring – pulled away, footage shows.

The ruffians also threw traffic cones at a marked NYPD cruiser during the skirmish, additional video shows.

The NYPD said three police cars were damaged with dents and broken windows.

No injuries were reported.

Three people who were allegedly at the scene of the chaos were arrested around 3:45 a.m. in the Bronx, sources said.

Jordi Montesquieu, 23, of Massachusetts, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree unlawful fleeing a police car and obstructing governmental administration, police and sources said.

Tyler Newman, 18, of New Hampshire, was hit with obstructing governmental administration while Queens local Tristian Nandram, 18, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration, possession of stolen property and petty larceny, according to cops and sources.

Nandram is accused of stealing a bag that had paperwork from the back of a police car, sources said.

Authorities said they are still hunting for more perps involved in the vandalism and recklessly driving cars Saturday night into Sunday.

Images of several more suspects released by the NYPD show most of the suspects masked up, with some wearing neon colored vests.

GOP candidate for mayor, Curtis Sliwa, blamed progressive policies for the brazen law-breaking.

“Our officers are the best in the world, but we must let them do their jobs without fear, hesitation, or political interference,” he said on X.

“We must restore law and order—and a Sliwa Administration will bring back the New York we know and love.”
