Violent ‘Free Karmelo’ Mob Targets Woman in Brutal Attack Amid Rowdy Protest Supporting Convicted Killer

A Texas woman is on the road to recovery after sustaining severe injuries in what she described as a brutal attack by a group of women.

The alleged reason for this violent encounter? Her backing of Karmelo Anthony.

In a detailed post on social media, the victim recounted that she and a friend had just finished a night out and were returning to her car when they were confronted by the strangers.

Anthony was convicted of murder and sentenced to 35 years in prison after he stabbed and killed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet. The verdict has sparked intense debate.

On Monday, a group of civil rights and criminal defense attorneys announced they were going to join Anthony’s fight to appeal his conviction.

He has a new legal team that includes Ben Crump’s law firm.

The Longview victim said the attack was unprovoked. She also wrote in the post she “never said a word to these girls,” she “never looked at them” and indicated she did not know them prior to the attack.

In the same post, the victim wrote that the Anthony case has “nothing” to do with her yet the assault resulted in injuries including a black eye, staples in her head and significant bleeding.

News Media spoke to the victim’s father, who said she is still very shaken up over the incident but that she feels it’s important for the public to “know what happened,” when referring to her public social post.

News Media confirmed the Longview Police Department is investigating the attack and has arrested one suspect in connection to it. Police did not name the suspect.

The investigation is ongoing.
