A midweek event took an unexpected turn at a Texas megachurch.
A startling video that quickly went viral captured the moment a camel kicked a woman during a Christmas event at Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston. The incident occurred amidst a “Christmas Spectacular” celebration featuring a live nativity scene complete with real animals.
The video, which has garnered over a million views on social media, shows the large camel being led down the aisle as part of the festivities. Unexpectedly, the camel, guided by someone in costume, pulled back and delivered a forceful kick to a woman sitting near the aisle.
The clip, which has racked up over one million views on social media, captured the massive camel being walked in a procession down the aisle during the show.
The camel, which was being escorted by a person in costume, suddenly jerked back its hind leg and back-kicked a woman seated by the aisle, the clip showed.
The woman, who seemingly took the hoof to the face, appeared to be instantly knocked out by the abrupt hit, sending several churchgoers rushing to tend to her.

A second camel was shown trotting down the aisle alongside more costumed performers, right behind its aggressive cohort.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been released, according to Click2Houston.
Church communications director Steven Miori told NBC News in a statement that “an unexpected incident occurred when a camel used in the production struck a guest in the audience.”

“Champion Forest regrets that this happened. Our team responded immediately, and emergency services were engaged,” Miori said, noting the church has been in contact with the family.
Champion Forest Baptist Church did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
