Four men were injured in a South Side shooting on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Police said officers responded to a report of people shot in the Englewood neighborhood’s 6600-block of South Halsted Street just after 9:30 p.m.

Responding officers found a 38-year-old man on the ground. The victim, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body, was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.

Another man injured in the same shooting took himself to the same hospital, police said. The 49-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was listed in good condition.

Officers then went to St. Bernard Hospital, where two other men injured in the shooting were being treated. The two men, 35 and 36 years old, each suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. Both are listed in good condition.

No one was in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Police said officers responded to a call about a person shot in the 1700-block of North Kimball Avenue in Humboldt Park near Logan Square around 2:45 a.m. Responding officers found an unresponsive 26-year-old woman who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
