Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions
This excuse:
“I just didn’t connect the dots.” Those are the words of former “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley as quoted in a recent interview with the New York Times.
Our take: Pelley claims he never realized that his aggressive criticism of his superiors and public confrontations could jeopardize his position. It’s hard to believe he was that oblivious. Instead, he likely believed his talent made him indispensable, regardless of his behavior. Such arrogance is staggering.
Meanwhile, Rep. Jasmine Crockett from Texas made a striking statement: “Black women . . . live in fear and agony every single day. A fear and agony that . . . the Metcalfs probably never spent a day living that way.”
This comment:
Our perspective: The Metcalf family recently endured a devastating tragedy, losing their 17-year-old son, Austin, in a brutal murder committed by 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony. It’s essential to acknowledge the profound pain they are experiencing, a reminder of the universal nature of grief and loss.
We say: The Metcalf family lost their 17-year-old son, Austin, in a horrific murder by now-19-year-old Karmelo Anthony.
Yet Crockett focuses on the hypothetical fears of imaginary black women.
She’s often accused of being brainless; now, as she prepares to leave office (hooray!), she’s proving herself utterly heartless as well.
These promises:
“[We’d] guarantee you your first job, help you get your first home . . . and make sure you can get through your first year of parenting.” — Congressional wannabe and Assemblyman Micah Lasher (D-Upper West Side), Monday
We say: First job, first home, first year of parenting . . . Why is Lasher limiting his campaign promises to just that?
After all, there’s surely no end to what Democrats can think up to do with other people’s tax dollars.
This assertion:
“If you believe that you’re never gonna get reparations . . . you don’t want to vote anymore.” — Rep. Summer Lee (D-Pa.), Sunday
We say: What was Lee smoking? She actually suggested someone is denying blacks money they’re “owed” in a plot to “disenfranchise” them — because “if you believe that you’re never gonna get” them, “you tap out.”
The idea that blacks are “owed” reparations is severely flawed and failed even in Dem-dominated California, but her claim that they’d give up on voting without the payments is outright whacky.
