WH Busted by Twitter Over Misleading Tweet -- So They Try to Mislead Even More – RedState

We reported earlier on an incredibly false and misleading tweet from the White House’s official Twitter account which claimed that it was due to Joe Biden’s “leadership” that Americans were getting an increase in their Social Security.

Now, as we previously explained, the reason Social Security will be going up in the next year is because of a cost of living increase that is built into the system, necessitated because of the high inflation that Joe Biden helped cause. Yet the White House has been trying to take credit for the increase for the past two months, even though it was necessitated by how much Biden was costing everyone with inflation.

But it’s a new day at Twitter. Twitter’s new reader feature fact-checked the tweet with the context that the increase wasn’t due to Biden but to the law passed under Richard Nixon in 1972.

Finally, a truthful fact-check!

Then the White House later deleted the tweet.

Reporters asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre why the White House deleted the tweet. Instead of being honest and admitting what they said was just false, Jean-Pierre continued to try to mislead. She claimed that they pulled it down because it was missing context and that context was that there were decreases in Medicare premiums. Notice what she didn’t admit — that the whole thing was a lie, increases were not due to “Biden’s leadership.”

“The tweet was not complete. Usually, when we put out a tweet, uh, we post it with context and it did not have that context,” the press secretary claimed. Let’s not forget [….] about MAGA Republicans in Congress & their continued threat to threaten Social Security and Medicare.”

So if it wasn’t “complete,” why didn’t they repost the “complete” tweet? Because then they would have had to admit how much inflation has gone up, so much so that a COLA increase was required and that’s all on Biden that everything costs so much more.

Plus, on top of that, she then lied about Republicans in Congress posing a “threat” to Social Security and Medicare. But even the Washington Post has called out this constant Democratic lie with a bunch of Pinocchios.

At this point, all the White House and Democrats are left with are lies because their true record is such a failure.
