Novocaine is a fresh action comedy flick hitting the big screen this weekend. It serves as a perfect transition from serious award-winning films to fun and lighthearted entertainment.

Directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, with a screenplay written by Lars Jacobson, Novocaine stars Jack Quaid (aka the son of Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan) as a man named Nate Cain. Get it? Nate was born with a peculiar medical condition that prevents him from feeling any pain. One day, Nate hits it off with the girl of his dreams, Sherry (played by Prey star Amber Midthunder), only to witness her get kidnapped by a crew of bank robbers. Nate decides to take advantage of his condition in order to rescue his love interest himself.

Also starring Ray Nicholson, Jacob Batalon, Betty Gabriel, and Matt Walsh, Novocaine promises to deliver a lot of action and a lot of laughs. Here’s what to know about where to watch the 2025 Novocaine movie, and when we expect to see the 2025 Novocaine movie streaming on Paramount+.

The 2025 Novocaine movie will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters in the U.S. on March 14. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Novocaine is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is the 2025 Novocaine movie streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?

Novocaine is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video, and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Paramount Pictures release. Almost all Paramount movies go to Paramount’s streaming platform, Paramount+, and not to Netflix.

You will be able to purchase Novocaine on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Novocaine on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon. If you want to watch Novocaine movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Paramount+.

When will the Novocaine 2025 movie be streaming on Paramount+?

The Novocaine Paramount+ streaming date has not yet been announced. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Novocaine streaming on Paramount+ eventually, but we’re not sure when. Another recent Paramount film, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, was released in theaters on December 20; released on digital platforms one month after opening in theaters, on January 21; and began streaming on Paramount+ about two months after opening in theaters, on February 18.

If Novocaine follows a similar release pattern, you might see the movie on digital around mid-April 2025, and streaming on Paramount+ around mid-May 2025.

But this is all speculation. If you want to watch Novocaine right away, you can catch the movie in theaters.
