Two LDS wives are going to the ballroom! Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck, who were featured in the recent Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion episode now available on Hulu, have just been informed that they will be participating in the upcoming Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars.
Most of the MomTok influencers auditioned for the dancing competition show while they were filming Season 3, but only two of them were chosen to compete. Toward the end of the reunion, host Nick Viall asked the room which two castmates wanted to be chosen the most, prompting Affleck and Leavitt to raise their hands.
As for who the ladies thought deserved it the most, Taylor Frankie Paul said, “Jen, just because it’s her life dream since she was little. But out of everyone, Whitney was an actual dancer. You’ve danced your whole life.”
Initially, Viall only told Affleck that she would be competing for the coveted mirrorball trophy in Season 34. While Leavitt smiled and clapped for her friend, it was clear that she was disappointed. Still, she promised to be there “front and center rooting for” Affleck.
That’s when Viall told them he had one more surprise announcement.
“As it turns out, because you women are so adored, they are gonna be sending two of you to Dancing with the Stars,” he said, announcing Leavitt as the second MomTok influencer heading to Los Angeles. The content creator leaped into her husband’s arms and spun around, before jumping up and down in excitement with Affleck.
Mikayla Matthews, who has been feuding with Leavitt since Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, widened her eyes before muttering, “Is this the new unlikely friendship?”
Affleck and Leavitt are the latest to join the growing list of stars set to compete in Season 34. Robert Irwin, son of the late Steve Irwin, was the first cast member to be confirmed for the show — and influencer Alix Earle later announced that she would also be joining the next season of Dancing with the Stars, which is slated to premiere sometime in fall 2025.
In the meantime, you can watch the women on the first two seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which is currently streaming on Hulu.
