At 95, William Shatner may be nearing his centenary, but exclusive Daily Mail footage suggests the Star Trek icon is not planning to slow down just yet. During a recent drive through Los Angeles, he appeared to be involved in a dramatic road trip.
The actor was spotted behind the wheel of his Porsche SUV in the San Fernando Valley last week, apparently with a cellphone to his ear as he traveled along the freeway, according to an eyewitness. His beloved Dobermans were also with him.
The outing allegedly grew more chaotic when the witness claimed Shatner was driving at high speeds, ran through several stop signs and made an illegal turn while attempting to enter the freeway.
According to the eyewitness, the maneuver forced another driver to slam on the brakes. The motorist was then reportedly seen gesturing and shouting toward Shatner’s vehicle.
California generally prohibits drivers from holding or using a handheld cellphone while driving. However, Daily Mail still photographs of Shatner inside his car do not establish whether he was driving at the time.
Shatner later appeared unfazed by the eventful journey, continuing with his errands while his two dogs remained in the vehicle.

During the afternoon, Shatner stopped at his preferred wig store, Denise Johnson Originals, while his pets waited patiently inside the car.
In a tender moment, he leaned into the Porsche to pet one of his Dobermans and give the dog a kiss before climbing back into the SUV and continuing his day.
Shatner’s representatives have not responded to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.
This is not the first time Captain Kirk has faced scrutiny over his driving.
Speaking at the Calgary Expo in Alberta, Canada, in April, Shatner recalled an incident from his Star Trek years in which he admitted speeding to the set before being stopped by police.
He said he had been rushing to make a 4 a.m. call time at Vasquez Rocks in Los Angeles County, where the series was filming, while still wearing his Captain Kirk costume.

Police pulled him over, and Shatner initially feared he would be arrested. He soon discovered, however, that the officer was a fan of the show.
“He raises his hand in a Vulcan salute and says ‘live long and prosper,’” the actor told the audience.
Earlier this year, Shatner was photographed in another unusual driving incident, appearing to eat from a bowl of cereal while behind the wheel of his car.
The Boston Legal star took his breakfast on the go – including a ceramic bowl and silver spoon – as he drove around Studio City.
Though, Shatner’s energetic outing on September 24 is perhaps on brand for the Hollywood star, who has repeatedly made clear that he has little interest in slowing down as he advances through his tenth decade.
In fact, Shatner – who celebrated his 95th birthday in March – surprised fans earlier this year when he announced he would be playing at Riot Fest music festival in Chicago while fronting his band The *uckers.

Shatner shocked fans when he announced plans to perform at Riot Fest in Chicago with his band The *uckers this year. He became the oldest performer in the music festival’s history when he took the stage on September 20

Shatner alluded to his Star Trek past in a statement about his participation at the festival.
‘I’ve always believed that music, like space, is about exploration,’ he said in an interview in July, according to People. ‘Riot Fest is exactly the kind of place where anything can happen.
‘We’re bringing volume, intensity, and a few surprises. I can’t wait to share this experience with the fans.’
The Canadian native later followed through with his ambitious plans, officially becoming the oldest performer in the festival’s history when he took the stage on September 20, according to Pacific Coast Radio.
Months earlier, Shatner had been forced to reassure fans he was ‘fit as a fiddle’ after rumors began to circulate on social media that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
The actor poured cold water on those claims, sharing a photo of him in a patio chair, seated upright and offering the camera a sprightly grin.
‘My Daughter came over to tell me her daughter heard that I had brain cancer,’ he wrote at the time, along with a rolling eyes emoji on X, formerly Twitter.
‘She took this photo and sent it to me to upload to prove I’m not ill. The people who are ill are those that are spreading these ridiculous stories. I’m fit as a fiddle. You don’t have to worry,’ he assured his fans.
