The United States is preparing to unveil an international coalition focused on trading essential minerals, as announced by Interior Secretary Doug Burgum on Monday.
During his address at the ADIPEC Exhibition and Conference, a prominent global energy event held in Abu Dhabi, Burgum highlighted the necessity of energy security. He underscored that critical minerals play a vital role in the advancement of artificial intelligence, a field where the U.S. aspires to maintain a leading position.
In a Monday interview on “Morning in America,” Burgum emphasized the urgency for the nation to re-engage in power generation to remain a formidable competitor. He stressed that maintaining affordable electricity is crucial, as it forms the bedrock for the growth of advanced manufacturing and AI breakthroughs.
