Four Wisconsin police officers were hurt early Saturday after a driver allegedly plowed into a group of people in Green Bay.
Green Bay Police Department officers were called to a disturbance near a food truck around 2:15 a.m. Saturday. As officers tried to detain several individuals, a vehicle reportedly drove toward the officers and nearby bystanders, leading one officer to fire their weapon.
The driver then fled the scene, triggering a brief police pursuit. Officers brought the chase to an end by using a PIT maneuver, a law enforcement tactic designed to disable or stop a fleeing vehicle.

Police said the driver was arrested without further incident on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

All four injured officers received medical care for injuries authorities said were not life-threatening.
Authorities said no injuries were reported in connection with the officer-involved shooting.
During a later news conference, Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis said investigators had not yet determined whether the driver was involved in the initial disturbance at the food truck.

He added that a couple of the officers’ injuries happened before the vehicle drove into the crowd, when they were attempting to take people into custody.
The Brown County Sheriff’s Office will assist the department in investigating the officer-involved shooting.
