The victim was found dead of “multiple gunshot and stab wounds” in October around the time of Hurricane Milton, JSO said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) announced an arrest of a man accused of killing a woman in October 2024 on the city’s Northside Wednesday.

On Oct. 10, 2024, patrol officers found 43-year-old Kristin Carrier suffering from “multiple gunshot and stab wounds” inside a home on Pheasant Drive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Robert Hendrix, 32, was inside the home when officers arrived. He was detained and arrested on unrelated charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana no more than 20 grams, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to JSO.

The heavily redacted arrest report says detectives “observed various blood patterns on the walls and floor.” In October, the sheriff’s office said the person who found the woman came to the house to stay with a family member during Hurricane Milton, and the victim was wrapped in a tarp in the master bedroom.

Officers served Hendrix with a warrant for murder and evidence tampering after reviewing evidence, conducting interviews and discussions with the State Attorney’s Office, the agency said.

He was already incarcerated at the Duval County Jail, JSO said.
