In a poignant update on “Fox & Friends” this Friday, Attorney General Pam Bondi shared the hopeful progress of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, a National Guardsman critically injured in a recent shooting near the White House. Describing Wolfe as a “miracle,” Bondi revealed that he is now “able to open both eyes” as he continues his fight for life.
The 24-year-old serviceman was gravely wounded on November 26, during an attack that also claimed the life of fellow National Guardsman, 20-year-old Spc. Sarah Beckstrom. The incident unfolded just blocks from the White House, casting a shadow over the nation’s capital.
“Please continue to pray for Andy,” Bondi urged viewers. “I have visited him and have been in constant contact with his family—his mother, Melody; his father, Jason; his sister and brother; and even his eight-month-old niece. They have all been by his side at the hospital.”
Bondi recounted the strength and resilience shown by Wolfe’s mother, Melody, who from the beginning believed in her son’s recovery. “She said, ‘My son is going to live. My son is going to be 100%,'” Bondi recalled. “And I’ve seen remarkable signs of his recovery, as the doctors confirmed there are no blood clots. It truly is a miracle that he can now open both eyes.”

The attorney general said Wolfe has suffered “severe injuries,” and, “he’s got a long road ahead of him, but we are praying that he makes a full recovery.”
The suspected shooter is Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national. He faces charges of first-degree murder and two counts of assault with intent to kill while armed.
Bondi has said the Department of Justice intends to seek the death penalty.

“This was someone that the Biden administration, the monster, let into our country, let him walk into this country with little or no vetting, just like all these Somalis that Obama did who are committing crimes throughout our country,” Bondi said Friday about the suspect. “And under Donald Trump, it’s going to stop. We’re going to find them, we’re going to prosecute them, and they will be deported as well.”
