JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A teenager is recovering from injuries following a shooting that took place at a Jacksonville house party in the Avondale area, officers say.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says it happened just after 9 p.m. Saturday in the area of Rensselaer Avenue when they found someone in their early teens with gunshot wounds to his leg and arm. He was taken to a local hospital, where officials say he has non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe an unknown suspect fired several rounds at the house party, but also say this seemed to be an isolated incident.
Authorities do not have a current description for the suspect.
Crime Scene Unit Detectives are processing the crime scene. Robbery and Violent Crime Detectives are also actively investigating through witnesses and video surveillance.
