Global tech and media moguls have graced the red carpet with their wives for a glitzy prize ceremony.

Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Rupert Murdoch were all spotted at the 11th Breakthrough Prize awards in Barker Hanger in Santa Monica.

The red carpet was graced by billionaires who captivated the star-studded audience at an occasion that honors the remarkable accomplishments in the fields of science and technology.

This esteemed event, often referred to as the ‘Oscars of Science,’ drew the most influential figures in global innovation, including Zuckerberg, 40, who looked stylish in a sharp tuxedo, accompanied by his wife, Priscilla Chan.

He was also sporting Meta’s latest technological advancements – a pair of AI sunglasses.

Meta introduced a new set of smart glasses for augmented reality called Orion last year, which superimposes digital symbols and content onto the user’s line of sight – a technology typically seen only in larger mixed reality headsets.

The couple, who are no strangers to philanthropy, appeared in high spirits as they posed for photographers.

Priscilla was wearing a black dress and jacket, while Mark donned an all black suit.

Meanwhile, tech titan Bill Gates, 68, who co-founded Microsoft and has dedicated much of his life to global philanthropy, walked the red carpet with his girlfriend Paula Hurd.

Bill’s newly found love came less than a month after he divulged his shattered relationship with 60-year-old Melinda, calling the unexpected divorce ‘the mistake I most regret.’

The former tech power couple tied the knot in 1994, welcomed three kids into the world and then divorced in May of 2021 after 27 years of marriage.

Paula looked radiant in a floor-length one-shoulder black gown, with a thigh high leg slit.

Also in attendance was media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 92, accompanied by his wife, Elena Zhukova, 67.

He looked dapper in a black suit and tie, while she chose a dark blue off the shoulder floor length dress.

But perhaps one of the most high-profile attendees was Jeff Bezos, 60, Amazon’s founder and former CEO, who continues to dominate the tech and space sectors.

Dressed in a sharp black suit, Bezos was accompanied by his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, who looked stunning in a red figure-hugging dress.

It comes as Donald Trump appears to have endorsed a theory that he is deliberately tanking the stock market with his tariff agenda in a bid to force the Federal Reserve to slash interest rates.

The president shared a fan-made video describing the ‘genius chess move’, which would allow America to cheaply refinance trillions of dollars worth of US debt.

The clip claims Trump will crash the stock market by 20 per cent this month ‘on purpose’ to weaken the dollar and lower mortgage rates.

However, the video’s additional claims that the controversial tactic has Warren Buffet’s support were shot down by the veteran investor.

He put out a denial via his firm Berkshire Hathaway on Friday. The video has also since received a community note on Twitter adding this context.

The Breakthrough Prize ceremony, which honours achievements in fields ranging from physics and life sciences to mathematics and chemistry, was a fitting occasion for the moguls to show their support for the brightest minds pushing the boundaries of human knowledge.

With many of the world’s top scientists receiving multimillion-dollar awards for their groundbreaking research, the evening was a celebration of progress in science and the people shaping our future.
