Dr William Mooney Surgeon – The Australian surgeon William Mooney was found guilty of professional misconduct. Is he a Wikipedia entry?

Dr. Mooney is a renowned rhinoplasty surgeon with extensive experience in nose surgery. He described himself as Australia’s foremost ENT specialist in facial plastic surgery.

William was found guilty of unsatisfactory conduct and professional misconduct in connection with a patient interaction and the deaths of two patients. He denied any guilt, stating that the patients’ deaths were not the result of complications in his surgery.

 

Who Is William Mooney Surgeon? Is He On Wikipedia?

Dr. William Mooney is not on Wikipedia. 

Dr. William Mooney is an experienced Senior Ear Nose and Throat Surgeon specializing in facial cosmetic surgery. With over 20 years of experience as a Rhinoplasty Surgeon, his precision and excellence in nose job surgeries are renowned in the industry. Mooney boasted about conducting “the highest number of nose jobs in Australia.”

He started his career as a general surgeon but then decided to specialize in ENT surgery. Mooney qualified from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

The first patient was a 24-year-old man who died in March 2018 after a botched surgery to fix his snoring. Dr. Mooney operated on the patient at Strathfield Private Hospital.

The second patient died after Dr. William accidentally pierced his brain during a sinus operation. He passed away in December 2017 and was 41 years old.

The operations were found to be inappropriately short in both cases. His registration was suspended temporarily in December 2018, after he returned a positive test for cocaine. 

Dr. William chose to withhold information from the regulatory authorities on several occasions. He misled the inquiry to protect his registration, and his delegates were unethical and improper.

William Mooney Misconduct Charges: Is He Arrested?

William Mooney is found guilty of professional misconduct and poor conduct connected to the deaths of two patients. He was also found guilty of lying about his failure to attend a drug test and a relationship with a patient, as per The Sydney Morning Herald.

The NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal found the misconduct was very serious, and they might cancel Dr. William’s registration. He failed to provide post-operative care, which was also a part of the unsatisfactory professional conduct.

Mooney is yet to get arrested, and further details about his charges are yet to be disclosed.

William Mooney might be going to jail for misconduct and poor conduct. He chose to deceive the investigation to protect his registration. His conducts are misleading, improper, and unethical.

The Health Care Complaints Commission will soon determine if his registration will be suspended or canceled.
