Morisi’s resignation rumors were going around for a while, and it was announced last week that he has resigned from his role with the party as he needed to unplug for family reasons.

It is now revealed that he resigned on September 1 after being investigated for suspected drug dealing. Luca denied having committed any crime and even apologized to Salvini, his family, and colleagues for his weakness and errors, reports The Times.

The Verona prosecutor, Angela Barbaglio, revealed that Luca’s name was inserted into the list of people under investigation for alleged transfer of narcotic substances. The investigation started in mid-August after police found narcotics in the car of three people, who claimed that it was supplied by Morisi. A small number of drugs were found in his farmhouse.

Who Is Luca Morisi?

Luca’s current age is 48 years.

He managed a team that carefully polished Matteo Salvini’s image as the man of the people, by sharing pictures of Salvini using “Italian only” products such as Nutella chocolate spread, Moretti beer, tiramisu, and many more. Morisi previously worked as a lecturer at the University of Verona, reports The Guardian.
