Paddy Prendergast is well-known for winning the ALL Eire SFC championship. He had a very prestigious life until the end.

The 1951 Mayo football team’s last surviving member has taken All Ireland Glory very seriously. According to his wife, winning the Glory would have meant a lot to the late Paddy.

He celebrated the takeover of Tyrone after a 70-year wait before his last day on Earth. Paddy is also well-known for being a legendary fullback.

Obituary: Paddy Prendergast Death Cause

Prendergast was the only two members who survived in the Mayo workforce in the year 1951. Many people have been astonished by the news of his death.

Back in the days, Paddy also got questioned about the events of the 1951 surviving team members. However, people could not hear his side of the story.

The cause of his death has not been available to the public yet. Nevertheless, we expect his family members to release the death cause in the future.

If so happens, then again, we will update sooner. As of now, Paddy seems to left this world due to old age.

Paddy was married to his wife, Irene. At present, she is mourning the death of her beloved husband.

As stated by her, she recalls his every memory, like how All Ireland has been everything to him. Irene has been the factor for flowing the details about her husband now.

She also talked about the Mayo Curse. The team was cursed by the furriest priest back in 1951.

As believed by the Mayo team, they got hexed by the priest for never winning the All Ireland again.

Well, Paddy did not believe in the curse. There were only two last survivors, and Dr. Padraig Carney was the other one who was dead two years ago.

 

Paddy Prendergast Age, How Old Was He When He Died?

Paddy passed away at the age of 95. He was born in 1926 year in his home town Clara, County Kilkenny, in Ireland.

Paddy mostly spent his life in Kerry. Later on, he worked for the shell after he went to Tralee in the 1960s.

Prendergast got nicknamed as Ballet Full- Back in his days of games. Before playing for native Mayo, he also represented the inter-county level Donegal.

Paddy was a very lovable husband. He and his wife have been married for so long now.

Together they have got three children in the family.

Following Paddy as a role model father, his children are also athletes.
