As per the reports obtained online, Raymond Chalusian died after getting shot in his face. Furthermore, the report says that the correction officer allegedly shot Chaluisant on the Cross Bronx Expressway Thursday morning.
As soon as the news surfaced people have been paying tributes to him on social media platforms. People described him as someone who was friendly, outgoing, and family-oriented person.
The authorities have been looking up the case and investigating the possible motive for the murder. The news of his death has shocked and devastated his friends and family.
Raymond Chaluisant Was Killed While Doing Orbeez TikTok Challenge
During the initial investigation, the authorities think that the bead-blaster gun which is a toy might have led to the murder of Raymond Chaluisant. The bead-blaster gun is a toy gun that shoots water gel pellets which are mostly used in Orbeez challenge on TikTok.
In the challenge, the users buy Orbeez soft gel or water balls, load them in airsoft guns and fire them at people when they are distracted. Some of the videos with the challenge have received millions of views on TikTok and YouTube since the spring.
Raymond’s older sister, Jiraida Esquilin revealed that her brother was playing water-gun fight with some friends. She further mentioned he was playing with a new nerf gun that shoots water.
His neighbors nearby were having a water fight as there were 90 degrees outside at the time. Jiraiya later explained someone killed him while he was having fun with his friends.

Dion Middleton, 45, is accused of shooting Chaluisant while he was sitting in the passenger seat of a silver Acura near the Cross Bronx Expressway and Morris Avenue at 1:30 a.m. Thursday. He was arrested later that day at the firing range where he works after police retrieved surveillance footage of the incident and tracked him down.
The authorities had assumed that when responders opened the door, a water-pellet gun fell out of the teen’s lap. Esquiln, who was enraged after learning that Middleton had returned to work following the shooting, claimed that Chaluisant’s father had died only six months before.
The report says that Dion was off-duty when he shot Raymond in the face. Lilly, Esquiln’s mother, who referred to herself as Chaluisant’s stepmother, remarked that the teen said he was going to McDonald’s before receiving a message that he had been shot.

Raymond Chaluian lost his father 6-months back. Due to this, he had gotten off of his school to take care of his mother and his younger sister.
His stepmother Lilly and half-sister Jiraida Esquilin have come forward to talk about the incident with the media. Followingly, a woman who introduced her as his step-sister stated that the situation should not have gone deadly.
She further added that correctional officers are trained to be patient but the officer chose to shoot rather than understand the ongoing environment. The family of 18-years old are asking for justice.
Followingly, the neighborhood man came ahead and said that the authorities are going easy on him. Meanwhile, the officers have yet to release the official statement as the investigation is going on.
