Kathleen Tobin, the wife of Bob Krueger, is a global traveler. She lived and worked in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill.

She was also a member of the board of directors of an international children’s organization.

Krueger lived in England, Botswana, and Burundi, Africa, where she raised her children and conducted volunteer programs in the midst of conflict and tragedy. Her roots, however, lie in the Hill Country.

Krueger served as a legislative assistant in the office of U.S. Representative Sam B. Hall, Jr. after graduating from Texas A&M University.

Krueger married former U.S. Senator and American Ambassador Bob Krueger. Kathleen served as president of the Diplomatic Women’s Association throughout their time in Africa.

Born on August 19, 1958, Kathleen Tobin has turned the age 63 years.

Krueger was born in the Texas city of San Antonio. Krueger relocated to their family ranch outside Bandera when she was 11 years old, together with her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Bob Krueger and Kathleen Krueger have been married for 27 years. In 2008, Krueger and her husband released “From Bloodshed to Hope: Our Embassy Years During Genocide,” an award-winning book about their experiences living amid fighting and genocide in Burundi, Africa.

The book gained widespread accolades, winning the Institute of Letters prize for the finest nonfiction book published in Texas that year.

In the 1980s, pilot Tom Humphrey pursued Bob Krueger,  Bob Krueger and his wife, Kathleen, recruited pilot Tom Humphrey, as he appeared to be the ideal candidate.

The Kruegers had no idea that introducing Humphrey into their lives would turn out to be their worst blunder.

Bob Krueger was running for governor in 1983, and Tom Humphrey flew him and Kathleen across Texas while they campaigned. It was strange to have the pilot assist with menial jobs.

When Bob Krueger lost, Tom Humphrey took it very hard and began visiting the Kruegers at their house and sharing his emotions with the family, which appeared unusual.

Tom started dropping by the Kruegers’ house 3-4 times a week without calling, even when Bob wasn’t there. Kathleen was so terrified of Tom that Bob Krueger went to his house and kicked him out.

After Tom Humphrey contacted them and said he was going to murder them, Bob Krueger finally obtained the proof he needed. The FBI then became involved and tracked down the stalker. He was ultimately apprehended in 1992 and sentenced to a year in jail.
