Who Is Jed Maus? Keller ISD Teacher and Band Director Jedidiah Maus Arrested For Indecency – A Keller ISD band director has been arrested and charged with three counts of indecency with a child.

Jedidiah Maus was the Director of Bands at Keller Middle and Keller Bear Creek Intermediate School.

Investigators said in early September, the Keller Police Department received a report from Keller ISD of a teacher, Maus, exposing himself to a student.

According to the affidavit, the police department’s investigation began in early September when they were notified by Keller ISD regarding allegations that Maus exposed himself to a student in a bathroom.

During the investigation, police learned of other incidents since late August involving two other students, where Maus allegedly exposed himself in a bathroom at Bear Creek Intermediate School, according to the affidavit.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and that anyone who may have information related to the case is asked to call 817-743-4600 or email CrimeTips@cityofkeller.com.

Keller ISD released a statement, saying Maus was placed on leave as the investigation continues.

“Notwithstanding our privacy policies which prohibit the District from publicly discussing personnel matters, Keller ISD reported this matter to law enforcement and is fully cooperating with the authorities’ investigation. Keller ISD placed the employee on leave upon being notified of this situation,” the district said.

 

Keller ISD Band Director Jedidiah Maus, Arrested for Indecency With a Child

Three counts of indecency with a kid have been filed against a Keller ISD band director.

Jedidiah Maus was the Director of Bands at Keller Bear Creek Intermediate School and Keller Middle School. According to investigators, the Keller Police Department received an allegation from Keller ISD in early September about a teacher, Maus, exposing himself to a pupil.

The Keller Police Department and Keller ISD immediately began an investigation.

A total of three victims have now been identified.

An arrest warrant details that one of the incidents happened on Friday, Sept. 10 and that Maus was officially placed on administrative leave and no longer had access to the building on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

The warrant goes on to detail how Maus exposed himself to a male student while in the boys’ bathroom.

Statement of Keller ISD

Keller ISD released a statement Friday afternoon saying,

“Unfortunately, we must share with you that a Keller Middle School-Bear Creek Intermediate Band Director was arrested today and charged with indecency with a child, following a criminal investigation by the Keller Police Department (KPD). We know this is extremely upsetting, but we wanted to let you know since the local media outlets will most likely report this news soon, and may have done so already.

Our privacy policies prohibit the District from discussing personnel matters; however, we do want to assure you that Keller ISD reported this matter to law enforcement and is fully cooperating with the authorities investigation. Families of any students impacted by this situation have already received communication from the school district; but, as always, if your student ever expresses that they feel unsafe in any way at school, please contact us. If your student shares specific information that you believe is related to this case, please notify KPD right away.

 

 

Update on Jed Maus- Arrest on Keller ISD Teacher 

Jed Maus worked as a Band Director in the Keller ISD school in Texas. He has recently been arrested for his indecency activities and for physically abusing his students. 

The Keller police and the school authority have taken the matter very seriously. The police department has officially mentioned that the investigation is ongoing, and the people who are the victim of the case should report them immediately. 

Similarly, the school department had also released a notice in public regarding the case. They have said that the school authority was unaware of such activities, which involved their band director, and has mentioned there is no more place for him in the school. 

It was not the school that had reported a complaint against the Band director. The parents of one of the students who was a victim of the case had filed a complaint against him, and since then, the issue was identified. 

 

 

Jedidiah Maus- Charges for Indecency

According to the press release from Keller Police Department, Jedidiah Maus is charged with three counts of Indecency. Reports against him were registered back in September, and the police had immediately begun investigating. 

He used to expose himself to male students inside a bathroom. The police found that he was last involved in such an act with his student on Sep 10, Friday, and by Sep 14, the police had denied him access to the school building. 

The charges put on him are severe and may even end his career. This act of his misconduct could end him up for 1-5 years in jail, and also, he will never be allowed to teach in a school. 

Keller ISD Teacher Jed Maus Age Revealed

The Band Director from Keller ISD, Jed Maus, is currently 35 years old. However, the details about his exact birthdate have not been revealed yet while he is an American and a resident from Keller, Texas. 

We assume that he was involved with the school for a long time. He served in a senior position in Keller ISD, and it has been a very tough time for the school authorities to deal with such a shameless act committed by one of their teachers.
