Joe Moorhead will be the next football coach at the University of Akron. Between Friday’s Pac-12 conference championship game between the Ducks and Utah, an official announcement will be made.

Moorhead will take over for Tom Arth, who was sacked on November 4 after a 3-24 Zips record. From 2004 through 2008, Pittsburgh spent five years at Akron. In the final two seasons, he was the offensive coordinator for the Zips.

Joe Moorhead is married to his wife, Jeniffer Moorhead. The couple has been together for more than two decades now. 

The American coach and Jeniffer are blessed with three beautiful children, Mason (15), Donovan (10), and Kyra (15). Jeniffer came across her now-husband in a pub. 

Mrs. Moorhead recalls the moment saying he was wearing long-sleeved t-shirts under short-sleeved shirts. She has graduated from Edinboro University with a degree in teaching. 

 

 

Jeniffer aims to teach French in the future. Mr. Moorhead and his family are prominent members of the Starkville community. All of the Moorhead family are devoted Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirate fans. 

Earlier this year, the Football coach was ill, which they confirmed was not COVID-19. Though the family has not revealed his health issue, Mario Cristobal updated his health condition. 

Oregon Coach Joe Moorhead’s Salary Revealed 

The salary of Joe Moorhead is estimated to be $2.6 million. He became the offensive coordinator and the quarterback coach at the University of Oregon on January 21, 2020. 

Before that, he was the head coach at the Mississippi State University on November 28, 2017. He served there for nine years before being hired by Florida. 

 

 

As per the report of ESPN, the Mississippi state administration planned to remove Moorhead if the BullDogs failed to overcome Ole Miss in the 2019 Egg Bowls. After the dismissal from Mississippi state, he joined the University of Oregon as an offensive coordinator.
