On October 10, 2021, Southern California authorities located human remains near where Lauren Cho was reported missing.

According to NBC, identification of the remains could take weeks. No connection has been made to Cho so far.

The location searched includes a property already searched in July.

A statement from the sheriff’s department stated: “The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department conducted an additional search and rescue operation in the ongoing search for Lauren Cho. During the search, unidentified human remains were located in the rugged terrain of the open desert of Yucca Valley.”

After moving from New Jersey to California, Cho traveled to Yucca Valley where she was staying at at an Airbnb with her friends.

 

Cody Orell is the former boyfriend of Lauren “El” Cho. She is a 30-year-old woman who went missing on June 28, 2021.

As per the latest updated news from ABC7, A body has been found in Yucca Valley, which is believed to be Lauren Cho.

As we all know, she was last seen in the same place, and police are doubting that it might be Lauren’s body. 

Nonetheless, the researchers said they are not 100% sure that the remains are of Lauren. After the autopsy reports, they can identify the body’s real identity. It might take a week to find out the identification of the remains, police said. Indeed, Lauren’s family is traumatized now.

The search is still ongoing, with more operations planned as new leads emerge in the investigation. ”
