Patrick McDowell has been accused of shooting Deputy Joshua Moyers during a Traffic Stop. Moyers had been shot twice, once in his face and once in his back.

Joshua died two days after in the hospital. 

Who Is Patrick McDowell?

Patrick McDowell is a former U.S. Marine and reservist. He has been going in and out of the Five STAR Veterans Center for two years now as per the Treatment Court order.

After the completion of his military service, he was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He willingly sought help from the VA for depression, headaches, and nightmares.

Patrick started feeling unwell psychologically after his return from Iraq. He was having trouble with seizures, sleeping patterns, and pain management. 

Eventually, Mister McDowell fell into the habit of drugs. He was also for stealing to provide for his drugs.

Jacksonville native was under the care of Judge Floyd and David, and 5star. But the support system was disrupted due to the COVID crisis.

The virtual sessions with the Court mean less supervision than before. He spent a year in Ga Jail and was again supervised by the court.

Richard McDowell is the father of the killer. He publicly offered condolences to Moyer’s family in a letter. 

The dad expressed that he expected Patrick to overdose and kill himself. But he never thought that his son would end someone’s life.

 

 

The Man Accused of Nassau County Deputy Death is Arrested 

Patrick McDowell is the man who is accused of the death of Nassau County Deputy. He was finally found and was arrested.

According to the source, Patrick was seen breaking into the baseball field stand of River Road Callahan. He was captured near Callahan.

The search team of Nassau County located his hat and other articles in the woods. 

The funeral service for Moyers is to be held on 2nd October in Callahan First Baptist Church. GoFundMe page has been established to help Moyers fiance, Ivy.
