Pitso Mosimane has departed Egyptian giants Al Ahly after the club and the serial Caf Champions League winner struck a separation agreement on Monday.

On their official website, Al Ahly acknowledged the departure. Mosimane is also expected to depart with his trusty lieutenants, fitness expert Kabelo Rangoaga, and performance analysts Musi Matlaba and Kyle Solomon. Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane have agreed to part ways, according to a statement from Ahly.

The club’s president, Mahmoud El-Khatib, met with Yassin Mainsour, the chair of Al Ahly Football Company; Hossam Ghaly, a board member of the club; and members of the planning committee to discuss Mosimane’s future with the club.

As a result of his accomplishments, they determined he should continue his mission with Al Ahly.

Pitso Jingles Mosimane born July 26, 1964, is a former player and manager in South Africa.

Mosimane, who was born in Kagiso, is one of South Africa’s most experienced and distinguished coaches, having won many major medals with SuperSport United between 2001 and 2007 and Mamelodi Sundowns between 2012 and 2020.

Mosimane began his senior career with Jomo Cosmos, then moved on to Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates before joining the Greek club Ionikos, where he was coached by Nikos Alefantos. Later, he played for Belgium’s KFC Rita Berlaar and Qatar’s Al Sadd.

Mosimane worked as an assistant coach for the under-11 youngsters at KFC Rita Berlaar in Belgium before returning to South Africa to coach Mamelodi Sundowns.
