American reporter, Lulu Garcia Navarro is set to leave the National Public Radio network soon. Here’s why she is leaving the NPR and where is she going now!

Former NPR foreign correspondent, Garcia grabbed the spotlight with her outstanding coverages upon the Israeli-Palestinian war. For her vivid reports of the Arab Spring revolutions, she received 5 prestigious awards back in 2012.

Why Is Lulu Garcia Navarro Leaving NPR?

Edward R. Murrow award-winning journalist, Lulu Garcia Navarro announced that she is going to leave NPR soon on 9th September 2021 via Twitter. The reason behind her decision is that she needs a break from her work. She wants to spend more time with her family.

In the tweet, Lulu said that she joined NPR as a correspondent based in Mexico City in 2004. She has been so lucky to have been given so many opportunities by this amazing organization. She covered many natural calamities and political conflicts, but all gave her joy and incandescent bravery.

 

Lulu, further, proclaimed that she was always ready to tell stories from Latin America to the Middle Eastern to the United States. She learned how people acknowledged her to talk to about the human-centered stories in the world.

 

Lulu felt privileged perhaps no greater honor to become the first Latina to host the NPR Flagship show. The newscast of NPR helped her to grow through every huddle. She only owes a small part of the contribution that they achieved together.

At last, Lulu said goodbye to her fellow newscast of NPR and USA to start a new chapter of her life. She proclaimed that she is leaving the network at the end of October 2021. She is also filled with love and gratitude for her experience in USA.

Where is Lulu Garcia Navarro Going?

Peabody Award-winning journalist, Lulu Garcia is going back to her hometown, London, England UK. She is backpacking with her husband, James Hilder; their daughter and pet dog Kiko have had a great time in the USA so far.

Former Weekend Edition host, Lulu officially announced her departure from NPR on 17th October 2021. Her fellow host, Ari Shapiro thanked her for everything. He is excited to see what she does next, but it will sad to lose her as a colleague. Similarly, some other NPR hosts, David Greene, Maddie Sofia, and Hidden Brian also left NPR.

Is She Sick? Illness and Health Update

Former Up First correspondent, Lulu is totally fit and fine. People were worried about her after she announced her departure from NPR. Many of her fans questioned her whether is she sick or not?

Well, Lulu just had a conversation with Oklahoma State University senior, Destinee Adams about the negative impacts of Instagram upon her mental health. She felt a very overwhelming “fear of rejection and uneasiness” while using Insta. Nevertheless, she is now fine and calm after taking advice from the college sr.
