After that, Afolabi set the record straight regarding the rumored visit by declaring that she had never gone to any church seeking recovery.

At the beginning of 2022, the actress was transparent about her undergoing treatment for an autoimmune condition. She revealed that she was receiving treatment at The John Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, United States, and shared images from her time there. She also mentioned that she was in the hospital.
She then said that the therapy would take place in a foreign country and start in June 2022.
She did, however, mention that her family has been supportive during this time, adding that at one point, she felt as if she couldn’t properly breathe. Consequently, she invited her daughter to come and see her while she was functioning in this capacity.
She had to see her kid one more time, even if it meant she would die. As a result, they brought her, and she immediately started crying. She was taken aback when she suddenly grew up after a week of constant sobbing and began inquiring about how she might assist her medicines. This occurred after she had been inconsolable for the previous seven days.
