Haider Sher-Ali and Arian Taherzadeh were accused of imitating Department of Homeland Security (DHS) personnel in an affidavit filed with a US district court.

Officials with the FBI claimed the men used the hoax to approach four officers, one of whom was on first lady Jill Biden’s security detail. They also said the agents had been placed on leave until the outcome of the investigation.

Haider Sher-Ali’s age is estimated to be around 36 years old as of 2022.
