Olarenwaju James, commonly known as Baba Ijesha, was found guilty of sexually abusing a kid. He is a Nigerian Nollywood actor.

The Ikeja Special Offenses Court’s Judge Oluwatoyin Taiwo found Baba Ijesha guilty of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, and indecent treatment of a child in a two-hour verdict.

But Taiwo set him free and acquitted him of counts one and six, which involved attempted and actual sexual penetration assault.

He is charged with six counts of sexually abusing a minor, attempted sexual assault by penetration, sexual assault by penetration, and sexual assault.

The actor denied the accusations. The relationship between him and the victim—reportedly a minor—was documented on CCTV footage produced in court.

The judge who made the decision, Justice Taiwo, declared that the prosecution had failed to prove the defendant’s guilt on all counts beyond a reasonable doubt.

Nollywood comedian and actor Baba Ijesha was found guilty of sexual assault and given a 16-year sentence by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offenses Court.

This suggestion was presented in front of an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offenses Court in February 2022 by Adeleke Lawrence, a defense witness and expert in CCTV installation and maintenance.

Lawrence referred to this when Babatunde Ogala (SAN) questioned him during the Nollywood comedian’s ongoing trial. Ogala asked to resume the hearing, and four Baba Ijesha films were played as she did so.

According to the judge, there is no proof to back up claims that the troubled Nollywood star was tortured into stating the police.

The 14-year-old victim in Baba Ijesha’s case is a girl who is the daughter of a Princess, an actress, and a comedian. Remember that Baba Ijesha had been having sex with the victim since she was seven years old and was arrested by Nigerian police in April 2021.

Princess at the Sabo Police Station reported him to the authorities on April 19, 2021. He was subsequently transferred to the State CID’s Gender Unit in Panti, Yaba, Lagos, for a thorough examination.

After confessing to the crime, the suspect was seen on camera by a CCTV system at the complainant’s home.

A few days later, Baba Ijesha was charged with six counts of child defilement, including sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration, sexual assault by penetration, and indecently treating a child.

The defense’s theory is that the person who watched the video was not summoned as a witness and that the exhibit had been changed, making it secondary evidence, according to the defense counsel.

In 2012, Lanre Omiyinka, a manager at Samsung Mobile, was wed to Baba Ijesha. Omiyinka is the epitome of a high-class lady; in addition to her beauty, she is intelligent.

If Mr. Lanre is found guilty, I would argue that he is not acting rationally because his wife is capable of handling everything; there is no need for him to be involved in such dishonorable behavior.

Due to the embarrassment, Baba Ijesha has brought onto her family, Mrs. Omiyinka has been absent from social media for some time.

Baba Ijesha, a radio and television director and battling actor from Nigeria, is considered to earn between $100,000 and $250,000.
