Carol Kirkwood confirmed her engagement live on air during Monday’s BBC breakfast program. Nothing that Carol and her boyfriend were ‘thrilled’ about said hosts Sally Nugent and Jon Kay as they listened to the good news.
Kirkwood has kept her new fiancé’s identity hidden from the public. Kirkwood appeared live from the Chelsea Flower Broadcast during the morning event, but as soon as the camera turned to her, Sally and Jon were more interested in hearing about her good news than the show.
Noticing the gleaming ring on Carol’s left hand, Sally taunted, “I’m a little worried about Carol this morning; she doesn’t know how Carol can stand up with that enormous diamond on her left hand,” while Jon chuckled beside Sally.
Carol blushed and laughed, saying, ‘Oh, that one? Thank you; yes, that is wonderful; I am engaged.’
Why Did Carol Kirkwood And Jimmy Kirkwood Divorce?
Carol Kirkwood, host, has formerly married to ex-husband Jimmy Kirkwood, but the couple divorced in 2008. Carol and Jimmy had been married for 18 years before their divorce.
Carol previously discussed her marriage and how she has rediscovered herself following their divorce. Kirkwood stated that she discovered herself after her divorce.
Kirkwood went on to say that she had discovered a sense of fearlessness inside herself as well.
Carol claims to be more courageous today. Carol has flown with the Red Devils and leaped out of planes with the Red Arrows. Carol performed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2015 and discussed dating after her divorce at the time.
Carol stated that she had been married for a long time and married young, so it’s good to do things she has the freedom to do now.
Carol Kirkwood Biography
Scottish weather presenter Carol Kirkwood was born on May 29, 1962, and works for the BBC as a weather presenter on BBC Breakfast. Carol was born in Morar, Inverness-shire, as the eighth of eight children of hoteliers.
After attending Lochaber High School in Fort William, she earned a BA in commerce from Napier College of Commerce and Technology in Edinburgh.
Carol is the primary weathercaster for BBC Breakfast. In 2013, the show relocated from London to MediaCityUK in Salford, while Carol remained in London, giving the weather on Breakfast via video connection.
Carol hosted The Weather Show for the BBC and is a regular contributor and correspondent for The One Show. Carol co-hosted the BBC One program The Great British Weather in 2011. She also provided weather forecasts on BBC Radio 2’s The Chris Evans Breakfast Show.
She has been on the CBBC show Hacker Time. Kirkwood participated in the BBC One panel program Would I Lie to You? in 2014. She made a brief appearance on Hollyoaks in October 2018.
