Bethany K. Farber, a woman from Los Angeles, is 34 years old. She works as an aesthetician in Agoura Hills.

Farber was imprisoned for 13 days, until April 26, 2021. She also experienced stress, anxiety, emotional harm, and mental anguish as a result of the incident.

Farber was mistaken for the identity of a wanted woman Bethany Farber from Texas. She was indeed the wrong person being sought.

She was released from custody after her attorney Rodney Biggs showed call data indicating that she was from LA.

Upon hearing the situation, Farber’s 91-year-old grandmother had suffered a stress-induced stroke. She died shortly after her release.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Farber stated that she doesn’t want any other to go through such a situation.

Bethany K. Farber is suing the city of Los Angeles and the LAPD for arresting her at Los Angeles International Airport.

She was misidentified as a suspect sharing the same name sought in Texas.

Last April, Farber was at the airport, waiting to board a flight to Mexico. Agents eventually apprehended her and escorted her to a private room.

The aesthetician was surprised to learn that she had a warrant out for her arrest because she had never been to Texas or committed a crime.

However, the LAPD arrests her in front of the airport staff without first confirming her true identity.

Farber, according to her lawsuit, is a young woman with long blonde hair, whereas the convicted woman is older and has short brown hair.

After being informed by the Texas court, the LA authorities imprisoned her for three more days.
