Clara Vulliamy is the daughter of Shirley Hughes and John Vulliamy.

She was raised in an intellectual family, where her mother was already an acclaimed book author and her father was working as an architect.

Influenced by both her mother and father, Vulliamy pursue her career as an illustrator and a book author.

She is well known for her book series Dixie O’Day relating to random houses, which aims at young children.

Vulliamy has also collaborated with her mother. She has published a pre-school series, Martha and the Bunny Brothers.

She co-wrote Bubble and Squeaks with James Mayhew and resurrected four Mary Plain titles by Gwynedd Rae.

Some of her other projects include Mango and Bambang series, Picking Pickle, Dotty Detective series, Marshmallow Pie the Cat Superstar, etc.
