Matthew Perna was a kind man based in Sharpsville. He was a cheerful lad who was full of life and he lit every room that he walked on.
Perna was convicted for his involvement in the Capitol Riot on 6 January 2021. However, various news outlets have revealed that he was just peacefully standing up for his beliefs.
Matthew also entered the Capitol via an open door. But when he heard that FBI was after him, he turned himself in and let the justice do their work.
However, in doing so, Perna became the victim of bullying from the U.S Department of Justice. He could not take it more so he ended his life with his own hands.

As per the online obituary, Matthew Perna committed suicide on 25 February 2022.
He was devastated after being bullied by the court. He was charged for his involvement in the Capitol riot but his hearing was delayed and postponed for more than a year.
Perna was initially charged with trespassing only but recently, his parents informed him that the court was pursuing additional charges. He then had a heartbreak after which he killed himself.
Matthew’s passing has made the public furious and grief-stricken as well. They are blaming the DOJ and mourning for his death at the same time.
