Did Sean Dyche Get Sacked, Who Is Burnley New Manager? Details

Burnley has fired manager Sean Dyche, who has been in charge at Turf Moor for the past nine and a half years.

Sean Dyche is a former footballer and English professional football manager who most recently coached Burnley in the Premier League.

Dyche began his career as a center-back for Chesterfield, Bristol City, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford, and Northampton Town.

Likewise, he coached at Watford after retiring as a player in 2007, including a spell as manager between June 2011 and July 2012.

Moreover, Dyche has led the team to two Premier League promotions in three seasons, the most recent coming after relegation to the Championship at the conclusion of 2014–15. He became the Premier League’s longest-serving manager after AFC Bournemouth and their manager Eddie Howe was downgraded at the end of the 2019–20 season.

Did Sean Dyche Get Sacked?

Sean Dyche, the manager of Burnley, has been sacked, shocking the football world. “Burnley Football Club has confirmed the club has separated ways with manager Sean Dyche, deputy manager Ian Woan, goalkeeping coach Billy Mercer and first-team coach Steve Stone,” the club stated in a statement.

After a 2-0 loss to Norwich City on Sunday, Dyche, who was out of contract at the end of the season, has left the Clarets four points from safety. Burnley had taken a significant stride toward safety in the previous game, defeating Everton, who was a position above them, 3-2 at Turf Moor.

The loss to bottom-placed Norwich at Carrow Road, though, dealt a serious blow to Burnley’s chances of escaping relegation to the Championship. The decision to fire Dyche is still a major one, considering his track record of keeping Burnley in the Premier League on a shoestring budget.

For now, under-23s coach Mike Jackson, with the help of Academy Director Paul Jenkins, under-23s goalkeeping coach Connor King, and club captain Ben Mee, will lead the team against West Ham United on Sunday.

The process of replacing Sean has commenced, and more information will be sent to supporters as soon as possible.
