Everything About Evander Kane Abuse Issues & Domestic Violence Controversy- Evander Kane, a forward for the San Jose Sharks, became embroiled in a scandal in 2021 after his estranged wife, Anna Kane, accused him of sexual assault and domestic violence.
Evander Kane is a left winger for the Edmonton Oilers of the Canadian National Hockey League (NHL).
He previously played for the Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, and San Jose Sharks.
The Atlanta Thrashers selected Kane fourth overall in the first round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Evander Kane’s former wife Anna Kane accused him of sexual assault and domestic violence. Anna Kane made the allegations as part of a domestic violence restraining order application.
Evander received a domestic violence temporary restraining order after alleging that Anna Kane had previously assaulted him and thrown things at him.

Kane, who had previously made the game betting claims, accused Kane of sexual assault and domestic battery in a domestic violence restraining order application for their divorce proceedings in September 2021.
Evander secured a temporary restraining order against Anna in August 2021, alleging that she had previously physically harmed him.
Kane has sought a permanent restraining order against Anna since then.
On the same day that Kane was cleared of gambling charges, the NHL revealed that it was looking into domestic violence allegations.
Evander Kane Gambling Debt
Anna Kane claimed that her husband threw games for gambling purposes and gambled on Sharks games “with bookmakers.”
She also said Kane was struggling financially because of his gambling addiction. Evander Kane has a gambling background.

He bet publicly in Las Vegas casinos on table games. While visiting for a playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights in April 2019, he failed to pay a $500,000 gambling marker from The Cosmopolitan.
The Cosmopolitan filed a complaint in November 2019, however, the matter was abandoned in 2020 by the casino.
He claimed to have lost $1.5 million gambling “at the casino and via bookie” over the 12-month period leading up to his bankruptcy petition in his legal filings.
Evander Kane Relationship
Evander Kane married Anna Kane in 2018 and they have two children together. Their marriage didn’t go well and they broke up.
Anna Kane, the former wife of NHL great Evander Kane, filed him with divorce papers weeks before accusing him of betting on his own hockey games.
Anna filed for divorce from Evander on July 16, 2021.
According to Evander’s Instagram post, he is dating Mara Teigen and the two are expecting a child.
