John Griffin Arrested: What Did The CNN Producer From Stamford CT Do?
John Griffin is a CNN producer who has worked for the network for many years.
However, his good deeds have worn off recently, as he has been charged with three counts of sexually assaulting teenage females using an interstate commerce facility.
Between April and July 2020, he allegedly used Google Hangouts and Kik to contact people claiming to be the parents of minor girls.
He’s accused of using the apps to spread the messages that women should be “sexually submissive and inferior to males” and that “a woman is a woman regardless of her age.”
Griffin is also accused of using the internet to try to recruit two more minors to engage in sexual activities.
During a video conference in April 2020, Griffin is accused of proposing a “virtual training session” in which he told a woman and her 14-year-old daughter to remove their clothing.
For each of the three counts against him, Griffin faces a mandatory minimum sentence of ten years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison.
