Karla Leanne Homolka, better known as Leanne Teale, is a Canadian serial killer and rapist who, with the help of her first husband Paul Bernardo, raped and murdered at least three teenagers between 1990 and 1992.
After being convicted of manslaughter in the rape-murders of two Ontario adolescent girls, Leslie Mahaffy and Kristen French, in exchange for a plea deal of only twelve years in prison, Homolka rose to international prominence.

Where Is Leanne Teale, Aka Karla Homolka Today?
Karla Homolka renamed herself Leanne Teale and now lives in Quebec with her husband.
She was freed from prison on July 4, 2005. Karla and her family lived in the Antilles and Guadeloupe before settling in Quebec.
She started working at a hardware shop in a Montreal suburb in August 2005.
Her supervisor eventually gave her address to the media and claimed that Karla had breached her release conditions by contacting someone with a criminal record. According to the boss, Karla was also accused of contacting youngsters.
A Superior Court Judge awarded Karla a reprieve in November 2005, concluding that she did not represent a risk to the community.

Update
In the 1993 murders of Leslie and Kristen, Karla pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter.
She was sentenced to five years in prison for each of her crimes, plus an additional two years for the death of her sister, for a total of 12 years in prison.
Karla brought home another anonymous lady who was sexually assaulted by Paul, but she was never prosecuted.
Given that the films revealed her as an active participant, the public was outraged by her light sentence. Paul was also found guilty of manslaughter in Tammy’s death. When Karla was released from prison in July 2005, she was 36 years old.
