Kim Barry is an Australian murder victim from Corrimal. She was a teen who worked as a shop assistant at a nightclub in Wollongong.

Barry and Graham first met at a nightclub, and he later enticed her into his apartment. Gene later changed his mind and attacked and killed the girl.

Potter, however, did not stop there; instead, he dismembered Kim’s body, head, and fingers. The body parts were then disposed of beneath the Jamberoo Mountain lookout.

Kim Barry was a sweet 19-year-old girl from Corrimal, New South Wales.

She was also a shop assistant at the Wollongong nightlub. She was well-educated, young as well as pretty attractive.

As per the obituary, Barry passed away on 7 February 1981. Her body parts were recovered from a mountain lookout near Wollongong.

Barry fell into the trap of Graham Gene Potter who brutally slaughtered her. He was later sentenced to life in prison but he got out in 1996.

Graham has not accepted that he murdered Barry and he declares himself innocent until now. There was no known motive but the evidence suggested otherwise.

Insight On The Murder Case Of Victim Of Graham Gene Potter

Kim Barry and Graham Gene Potter crossed paths at Barry’s workplace in Wollongong nightclub.

Gene was then 24 years old whilst Kim was only 19. The two were attracted towards each other and Graham took Kim to his apartment.

After that, Barry disappeared and her family filed a police complaint. The investigators found out that she was last seen with a local miner, Graham.

Till then, Graham had fled which is why the authorities issued a national manhunt. Later, he surrendered himself and he was charged with Kim Barry’s murder.

Gene had first killed the teenager and then dismembered her body parts before throwing them. Her remains were recovered from a nearby mountain lookout.

Although Potter maintained his innocence, he was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment. However, he came out of prison in 1996 after serving for 15 years.

Kim Barry’s murderer Graham Gene Potter was released from jail in 1996.

Fast forward to 2008, he was accused of being hired to kill a man at Mick Gatto’s son’s wedding ceremony. For that matter, he was ordered to be present in the court on 1 February 2010.

However, Barry failed to be present and after that, another manhunt was issued for 2 counts of conspiracy to murder. He used different aliases and remained underground.

After 12 years of hide-and-seek, Potter has finally been arrested by the Queensland Police as reported by the BBC.
